I borrowed this bottle of wine from Josh and Amber. They are gaining quite the collection of different wines. We have a closet in our basement that is filled with ski equipment.... and bottles of wine. Pretty great closet actually. I really like the label on this bottle. Amber told me that the artwork was done by the owner's mother, who has passed away.
Was suppose to fly back to Portland on this day but my flight got cancelled and I was rescheduled for the following day. Not a bad thing though... was able to enjoy sunny southern CA one more day.
Fun day on the coast! This is Karyn and Shannon. They ran on the beach with their eyes closed and tried a deep fried Three Musketeers.... I think we all decided that it tasted weird. Shannon's computer died today :( Other than that, it was a great day.
This image is a result of just playing around taking pictures in my room and this hacky sack was the nearest object at the time that I thought might make an interesting photograph. I do love to play hacky sack though.
Sorry, there's not a lot of variety b/w yesterday's post and today's. Trying to experiment and learn a little bit about lighting. Intended to play around a with this setup a little more today but ran out of time. Not too thrilled with either one of these but I'm learning...
Well I'm 8 days in, and yesterday was the first day I didn't take a picture. Hopefully this won't be the average. I did edit this one though yesterday. It's from the same park as the picture from Day 7, Tanner Springs.
From Tanner Springs Park in the Pearl Distract. A really cool little park... not only as far as parks themselves go, but photographically speaking as well.
Don't see my shadow too often in the wintertime so thought I'd take a picture of it. Took a walk to get some lunch this afternoon and took this with my iphone. Processing was done in phone using the Best Camera app. "The best camera is the one that's with you"
As a result of this blog, I'm taking my camera everywhere and taking pictures of almost everything, which is really cool. This is light from my headlights against the wall of a building.
One of my favorite things to do, especially in the winter: hanging out in a cool coffee shop reading and listening to music. My friend Shannon Hannon happens to work at this particular one (The Dragonfly Coffee House). Check out her 365 blog. It's great!
